English meaning
Now, in this city of Brahman there is a small lotus-shaped dwelling, and within it a small inner space. What is within that space is to be sought; that, indeed, is to be understood.
Explanation
The city of Brahman is understood as the body and the lotus dwelling as the heart. Smallness marks the location of inquiry, not a limit on the reality disclosed there; the following questions develop this distinction.
Context
The eighth chapter opens the teaching about the small space within the heart.
