Passage 46.1
English meaning
The Maruts live on that fourth nectar, with Soma as their mouth. The gods do not eat or drink; they are satisfied simply by seeing this nectar.
Explanation
Soma as the group’s mouth suggests a leading or mediating role. Satisfaction comes through seeing, explicitly not through physical eating and drinking, distinguishing this divine honey from ordinary food.
Context
The fourth of the five nectars is now related to the Maruts.
