अन्वय
माध्यन्दिनस्य सवनस्य उपाकरणात् पुरा आग्नीध्रीयस्य जघनेन उदङ्मुखः उपविश्य सः रौद्रम् साम अभिगायति ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
मध्याह्न सवन के आरम्भ से पहले वह अग्नीध्रीय अग्नि के पीछे उत्तर की ओर मुख करके बैठता है और रुद्रों का साम गाता है।
English meaning
Before the midday pressing begins, he sits behind the Agnīdhriya fire, facing north, and sings the Sāman of the Rudras.
व्याख्या
अग्नीध्रीय अग्नि एक विशिष्ट यज्ञाग्नि है; इसे पिछले गार्हपत्य अग्नि का दूसरा नाम न समझें। रौद्रम् यहाँ रुद्र-सम्बन्धी साम है।
Explanation
The Agnīdhriya is a particular ritual fire, not another name for the preceding Gārhapatya. Raudram denotes the chant associated with the Rudras.
