अथ येऽस्य दक्षिणा रश्मयस्ता एवास्य दक्षिणा मधुनाड्यो यजूꣳष्येव मधुकृतो यजुर्वेद एव पुष्पं ता अमृता आपः ॥ १ ॥

अथ अस्य ये दक्षिणाः रश्मयः [सन्ति], ताः एव अस्य दक्षिणाः मधुनाड्यः [सन्ति] । यजूंषि एव मधुकृतः [सन्ति]; यजुर्वेदः एव पुष्पम् [अस्ति]; ताः अमृताः आपः [सन्ति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
अब उसकी जो दक्षिण की ओर जाती किरणें हैं, वे ही उसकी उसी दिशा की मधुनाड़ियाँ हैं। यजुर्मन्त्र मधु बनाने वाली मधुमक्खियाँ हैं; यजुर्वेद फूल है; वे अमृतरूप जल हैं।
English meaning
Now its southerly rays are its honey channels in that direction. The yajus formulas are the honey makers; Yajurveda is the flower, and those are the immortal waters.
व्याख्या
यजुर्मन्त्र और यजुर्वेद को अलग भूमिकाएँ देकर पाठ मधु की उपमा को आगे बढ़ाता है। दिशा के साथ वेद, मधुनाड़ी और अमृतजल का सम्बन्ध ध्यान की रचना है।
