यथाश्मानमाखणमृत्वा विध्वꣳ सत एवꣳ हैव स विध्वꣳसते य एवंविदि पापं कामयते यश्चैनमभिदासति स एषोऽश्माखणः ॥ ८ ॥

English meaning
As something shatters on striking a solid stone, so, the text says, does one who wishes harm to such a knower or attacks them. This vital breath is that solid stone.
व्याख्या
पापं कामयते किसी के लिए बुराई चाहने का अर्थ देता है; अभिदासति उसके प्रति वैरपूर्ण आक्रमण का। यह प्राचीन उपासना की प्रशंसा में कही रक्षात्मक प्रतिज्ञा है, किसी व्यक्ति को शारीरिक रूप से अजेय मानने या खतरे की अनदेखी करने की सलाह नहीं।
Explanation
Pāpaṃ kāmayate means wishing harm, and abhidāsati indicates hostile action. The protective claim belongs to the ancient praise of contemplation. It is not advice to assume physical invulnerability or disregard an actual threat.
