Passage 1.6
English meaning
This pair comes together in the syllable OM. When the two members of a pair unite, they fulfil one another’s desire.
Explanation
The analogy focuses on mutual fulfilment and prepares the transition to the fruit of contemplation. It does not establish a universal rule for social roles or a modern guarantee that wishes will come true. The segmentation anyaḥ anyasya explains the source’s contracted anyonyasya.
Context
The pair of speech and breath is now said to unite in OM. The text explains their conjunction through the analogy of a couple meeting.
