भगवाꣳ स्त्वेव मे सर्वैरार्त्विज्यैरिति तथेत्यथ तर्ह्येत एव समतिसृष्टाः स्तुवतां यावत्त्वेभ्यो धनं दद्यास्तावन्मम दद्या इति तथेति ह यजमान उवाच ॥ ३ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
“आप ही मेरे लिए सभी ऋत्विज्-कार्यों का दायित्व लें।” उषस्ति ने कहा, “ठीक है। तब ये ही मेरी अनुमति से स्तुति करें। पर जितना धन आप इन सबको दें, उतना मुझे भी दें।” यजमान ने कहा, “ठीक है।”
English meaning
“You yourself should undertake all the priestly duties for me.” Uṣasti said, “Very well. Then let these same men chant with my permission. But give me as much money as you give to all of them.” The patron answered, “Very well.”
व्याख्या
समतिसृष्टाः अनुमति प्राप्त होने का बोध देता है; गायन उन्हीं लोगों द्वारा होगा। धन की शर्त को छिपाया नहीं गया है: उषस्ति अपने ज्ञान और दायित्व के लिए पारिश्रमिक माँगते हैं। प्राचीन व्याख्या “इन सबको” को सामूहिक रूप से लेती है; यह किसी वर्तमान पूजा या सेवा की शुल्क-संहिता नहीं।
Explanation
Samatisṛṣṭāḥ indicates that the men have been duly permitted to act; the same singers will perform. The financial condition is explicit: Uṣasti asks compensation for his knowledge and responsibility. The ancient commentary understands “these” collectively; this is not a present-day schedule of religious fees.

Context
The patron offers Uṣasti overall responsibility. Rather than dismissing the appointed singers, Uṣasti permits them to continue performing.
