English meaning
They gave him alms. The five on one side and the five on the other make ten; that is the kṛta. Thus in every direction food is the ten, the kṛta. This is Virāj, the eater of food; through her all this is seen. For one who knows this, all this becomes seen, and that person becomes an eater of food: one who knows this.
Explanation
One group consists of air and the four powers absorbed in it; the other consists of breath and four inward faculties. The winning-throw image returns. Ten also evokes the ten-syllable form of Virāj. These numerical relationships structure a contemplation.
Context
After the alms are given, the two groups of five are related to ten and Virāj.
