English meaning
One should know that all these beings depend on the sun. Its phase before sunrise is hiṅkāra. Animals are connected with that phase, and therefore they make a hiṅ sound: they share in the hiṅkāra of this Sāman.
Explanation
The pre-sunrise phase is correlated with animal vocalisation. Hiṅkārabhājinaḥ describes participants in, or beings associated with, that portion.
Context
The sun’s daily course is contemplated as a seven-part Sāman. Each phase of the day is linked with a class of beings.
