तमु ह परः प्रत्युवाच कम्वर एनमेतत्सन्तꣳसयुग्वानमिव रैक्वमात्थेति यो नु कथꣳ सयुग्वा रैक्व इति ॥ ३ ॥

English meaning
The other swan answered, “Hey, who do you take this man to be, speaking of him as though he were Raikva with the cart?” The first asked, “Who, then, is this Raikva with the cart, and what is he like?”
व्याख्या
सयुग्वा रैक्व का विशेषण है, जो उसके गाड़ी से जुड़े होने को बताता है। इस क्षण उसकी जाति, सम्पत्ति या औपचारिक पद नहीं बताया जाता। प्रश्न अगले अनुच्छेद की पासों वाली उपमा का अवसर बनता है।
Explanation
