English meaning
When I said, “I take refuge in Svaḥ,” I said precisely this: I take refuge in the Ṛgveda, in the Yajurveda, and in the Sāmaveda. That is what I said; that is what I said.
Explanation
The three distinct triads of worlds, deities and Vedas are assigned respectively to Bhūḥ, Bhuvaḥ and Svaḥ. The absence of the Atharvaveda from this particular list does not imply its absence from the work: Atharvan and Aṅgiras formulas appeared in the honey teaching.
Context
The third sacred utterance, Svaḥ, becomes refuge in the three Vedas, closing the receptacle teaching.
