एतꣳ संयद्वाम इत्याचक्षत एतꣳ हि सर्वाणि वामान्यभिसंयन्ति सर्वाण्येनं वामान्यभिसंयन्ति य एवं वेद ॥ २ ॥

एतम् संयद्वामः इति आचक्षते । हि एतम् सर्वाणि वामानि अभिसंयन्ति । यः एवम् वेद, एनम् सर्वाणि वामानि अभिसंयन्ति ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
“इसे संयद्वाम कहते हैं, क्योंकि सभी वांछनीय और शुभ वस्तुएँ इसमें आकर मिलती हैं। जो ऐसा जानता है, उसमें भी सभी वांछनीय और शुभ वस्तुएँ आकर मिलती हैं।”
English meaning
“They call this Saṃyadvāma, the meeting place of desirable things, because all desirable things come together in it. All desirable things come together in one who knows this.”
व्याख्या
वामानि यहाँ सुन्दर, प्रिय या वांछनीय वस्तुएँ हैं, बाईं दिशाएँ नहीं। संयद्वाम की व्याख्या अभिसंयन्ति, एकत्र आना, से की जाती है। उपास्य का गुण जानने वाले पर भी लागू किया गया है।
Explanation
Vāmāni means desirable, pleasant or beautiful things here, not left-hand directions. The name is explained through abhisaṃyanti, “come together.” The quality of the object contemplated is extended to its knower.
