Passage 151.5
English meaning
“The one who knows, ‘Let me think about this,’ is the self. Mind is its divine eye. Through this divine eye, the mind, it beholds and delights in those objects of desire that are in Brahman’s world.”
Explanation
The divine-eye metaphor points to mind’s broader capacity for thought and cognition. Mind and self are not simply collapsed into one term. This is not a technique promising automatic fulfillment of every worldly wish.
Context
After the senses, mind too is described as an instrument of the knowing self.
