अथ यत्रोपाकृते प्रातरनुवाके न पुरा परिधानीयाया ब्रह्मा व्यवदत्युभे एव वर्तनी सꣳस्कुर्वन्ति न हीयतेऽन्यतरा ॥ ४ ॥

English meaning
But when, after the morning recitation has begun, the Brahman priest does not speak before the concluding verse, they perfect both tracks; neither is neglected.

यह मौन का सार्वकालिक आदेश नहीं, अनुष्ठान के निर्दिष्ट चरण में ब्रह्मा ऋत्विज् की भूमिका है। संस्कुर्वन्ति बहुवचन समूचे ऋत्विज्-समूह की संयुक्त क्रिया को सामने लाता है।
