Passage 9.4
English meaning
“And likewise their world in the world beyond.” Whoever understands this and contemplates it has an ever finer life in this world and likewise a finer world in the world beyond, a world in that world.
Explanation
Asmin loke and amuṣmin loke deliberately pair life here with a world beyond. A place-word error in a comparison transcription should not erase that distinction. The final repetition, loke loka iti, marks closure rather than adding a claim about a separate third world. Both the present-life and afterlife benefits are religious assertions of the text, not independently verified contemporary guarantees.
Context
The opening words complete Atidhanvan’s preceding statement. The same result is then extended to whoever practices this contemplation with understanding.
