तेजोऽशितं त्रेधा विधीयते तस्य यः स्थविष्ठो धातुस्तदस्थि भवति यो मध्यमः स मज्जा योऽणिष्ठः सा वाक् ॥ ३ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
“ग्रहण किया हुआ तेज तीन भागों में बँटता है। उसका सबसे स्थूल अंश अस्थि बनता है; बीच का अंश मज्जा बनता है; सबसे सूक्ष्म अंश वाणी बनता है।”
English meaning
“Heat that has been taken in is divided three ways. Its coarsest constituent becomes bone, its middle constituent becomes marrow, and its finest constituent becomes speech.”
