श्रुतꣳ ह्येव मे भगवद्दृशेभ्य आचार्याद्धैव विद्या विदिता साधिष्ठं प्रापतीति तस्मै हैतदेवोवाचात्र ह न किञ्चन वीयायेति वीयायेति ॥ ३ ॥

“मैंने आप-जैसे आचार्यों से सुना है कि आचार्य से सीखी हुई विद्या ही सबसे उत्तम सिद्धि तक पहुँचती है।” तब आचार्य ने उसे वही शिक्षा दी। उसमें कुछ भी छूटा नहीं, कुछ भी छूटा नहीं।
English meaning
“I have heard from teachers like you that knowledge learned from a teacher reaches its best fulfillment.” The teacher then taught him that very knowledge. Nothing in it was left wanting, nothing was left wanting.
व्याख्या
साधिष्ठम् श्रेष्ठ सिद्धि या उत्तम परिणाम का संकेत है। “वही” शिक्षा पहले के उपदेशों और आचार्य-वाणी को विरोधी नहीं बनाती। अन्त का दुहराव पाठ का समापन-रूप है, इसलिए अर्थ में सुरक्षित है।
Explanation
Sādhiṣṭham points to the best accomplishment or fulfillment. “That very” teaching makes the earlier instruction and the teacher’s words continuous rather than opposed. The closing repetition is preserved.
