English meaning
Its eastward rays are its eastern honey channels. The ṛc verses are the honey makers, the Ṛgveda is the flower, and those are the immortal waters. These are the very verses spoken of here.
Explanation
Madhukṛtaḥ means honey makers. The immortal waters may be understood as the life-giving waters or essence associated with sacrifice, but this compressed sentence does not explain them fully. Assigning the roles of bee and flower separately preserves the distinction between individual verses and their Vedic collection.
Context
The eastward rays introduce the first Vedic correspondence and the first color of honey. The closing words supply the verses that act in the following sentence.
