एवमेवैष मघवन्निति होवाचैतं त्वेव ते भूयोऽनुव्याख्यास्यामि वसापराणि द्वात्रिꣳशतं वर्षाणीति स हापराणि द्वात्रिꣳशतं वर्षाण्युवास तस्मै होवाच ॥ ३ ॥

मघवन्, एषः एवम् एव इति ह उवाच । एतम् तु एव ते भूयः अनुव्याख्यास्यामि; अपराणि द्वात्रिंशतम् वर्षाणि वस इति । सः ह अपराणि द्वात्रिंशतम् वर्षाणि उवास । तस्मै ह उवाच ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
उन्होंने कहा, “मघवन्, इसकी दशा ऐसी ही है। पर मैं तुम्हें इसी आत्मा को और स्पष्ट करके बताऊँगा। और बत्तीस वर्ष रहो।” वह और बत्तीस वर्ष रहा। तब उन्होंने उससे कहा।
English meaning
He said, “Maghavan, it is indeed as you say. But I will explain this self to you further. Stay another thirty-two years.” He stayed another thirty-two years. Then the teacher addressed him.
व्याख्या
आत्मा का विषय वही है, लेकिन समझ को फिर सँवारा जाएगा। बत्तीस वर्ष का निर्देश और उसके पालन, दोनों रखे गए हैं। अगले खण्ड में गुरु का कथन जारी है।
Explanation
The subject remains the same self, while understanding is to be refined. Both the instruction to stay thirty-two more years and its fulfillment are retained. The teacher’s next statement begins in the following section.
