तानि ह वा एतानि सङ्कल्पैकायनानि सङ्कल्पात्मकानि सङ्कल्पे प्रतिष्ठितानि समकॢपतां द्यावापृथिवी समकल्पेतां वायुश्चाकाशं च समकल्पन्तापश्च तेजश्च तेषाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै वर्षँ सङ्कल्पते वर्षस्य सङ्कॢप्त्या अन्नँ सङ्कल्पतेऽन्नस्य सङ्कॢप्त्यै प्राणाः सङ्कल्पन्ते प्राणानाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै मन्त्राः सङ्कल्पन्ते मन्त्राणाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै कर्माणि सङ्कल्पन्ते कर्मणां सङ्कॢप्त्यै लोकः सङ्कल्पते लोकस्य सङ्कॢप्त्यै सर्वँ सङ्कल्पते स एष सङ्कल्पः सङ्कल्पमुपास्स्वेति ॥ २ ॥

“ये सब संकल्प को अपना एक आश्रय रखते हैं, संकल्पात्मक हैं और संकल्प में प्रतिष्ठित हैं। द्युलोक और पृथिवी संकल्प में व्यवस्थित हुए; वायु और आकाश व्यवस्थित हुए; जल और तेज व्यवस्थित हुए। उनके संकल्प से वर्षा का संकल्प होता है; वर्षा के संकल्प से अन्न का; अन्न के संकल्प से प्राणों का; प्राणों के संकल्प से मन्त्रों का; मन्त्रों के संकल्प से कर्मों का; कर्मों के संकल्प से लोक का; और लोक के संकल्प से सबका संकल्प होता है। यह है संकल्प। संकल्प की उपासना करो।”
English meaning
“All these have resolve as their single resort, are constituted by resolve, and rest in resolve. Heaven and earth took their ordered resolve; wind and space did so; water and fire did so. Through their resolve, rain takes shape in resolve; through the resolve of rain, food; through that of food, living powers; through that of living powers, formulas; through that of formulas, actions; through that of actions, a world; through that of the world, everything takes shape in resolve. Such is resolve. Contemplate resolve.”
व्याख्या
संकल्प की भाषा यहाँ प्राकृतिक तत्त्वों पर भी लागू होती है, इसलिए केवल मनुष्य की सचेत इच्छा इसका पर्याप्त अनुवाद नहीं। कॢप् के रूप व्यवस्था, बनने और उपयुक्त होने का अर्थ भी जगाते हैं। श्रृंखला में कोई कड़ी छोड़ी नहीं गई है।
Explanation
Because the language of resolve is also applied to natural elements, conscious human intention alone is not an adequate gloss. Forms of kḷp evoke becoming, ordering and fitting. Every link in the sequence is retained.
