स यथा तत्र नादाह्येतैतदात्म्यमिदँ सर्वं तत्सत्यँ स आत्मा तत्त्वमसि श्वेतकेतो इति तद्धास्य विजज्ञाविति विजज्ञाविति ॥ ३ ॥

“जैसे वहाँ वह नहीं जलता, इस सबका आत्मा वही है। वही सत्य है, वही आत्मा है। श्वेतकेतु, वह तुम हो।” उसने उनकी यह शिक्षा समझ ली, हाँ, समझ ली।
English meaning
“Just as he would not be burned in that case, all this has that as its self. That is the real; that is the self. You are that, Śvetaketu.” He understood this teaching of his father. Indeed, he understood it.
व्याख्या
इस अन्तिम आवृत्ति की शुरुआत पहले की तरह “वह सूक्ष्म सार” से नहीं, अग्नि-परीक्षा की ओर लौटने से होती है। यहाँ और समझाने की माँग भी नहीं है; उसके स्थान पर विजज्ञौ की पुनरावृत्ति है। सत्य, आत्मा और श्वेतकेतु का सम्बन्ध शिक्षण का निष्कर्ष बना रहता है।
Explanation
This final occurrence begins not with the earlier “subtle essence” wording but with a return to the ordeal. Nor does it ask for further explanation: the repeated vijajñau takes the place of that dialogue. The relation of truth, self, and Śvetaketu remains the teaching’s conclusion.
