तस्मिन्नेतस्मिन्नग्नौ देवाः श्रद्धां जुह्वति तस्या आहुतेः सोमो राजा सम्भवति ॥ २ ॥

अन्वय
तस्मिन् एतस्मिन् अग्नौ देवाः श्रद्धाम् जुह्वति । तस्याः आहुतेः सोमः राजा सम्भवति ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
इसी अग्नि में देवता श्रद्धा की आहुति देते हैं। उस आहुति से सोम राजा उत्पन्न होता है।
English meaning
Into this very fire the gods offer faith. From that offering arises King Soma.
व्याख्या
श्रद्धा से सोम राजा तक का रूपान्तरण पञ्चाग्नि-शिक्षा की क्रमिक कड़ी है। देवता यज्ञकर्ता हैं; बाहरी अनुष्ठान के शब्द विश्व और जीवन के सम्बन्ध समझाने के लिए प्रयुक्त हैं।
