परोवरीयो हास्य भवति परोवरीयसो ह लोकाञ्जयति य एतदेवं विद्वान्प्राणेषु पञ्चविधं परोवरीयः सामोपास्त इति तु पञ्चविधस्य ॥ २ ॥

यः एतत् एवम् विद्वान् प्राणेषु पञ्चविधम् परोवरीयः साम उपास्ते, अस्य [जीवनम्] ह परोवरीयः भवति; [सः] ह परोवरीयसः लोकान् जयति । इति तु पञ्चविधस्य [साम्नः उपासनम् उक्तम्] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
जो इसे इस प्रकार जानकर प्राण-शक्तियों में उत्तरोत्तर श्रेष्ठ पाँच अंगों वाले साम की उपासना करता है, उसका जीवन उत्तरोत्तर श्रेष्ठ होता है और वह उत्तरोत्तर श्रेष्ठ लोक जीतता है। इतना पाँच अंगों वाले साम का विवेचन है।
English meaning
For one who knows this and contemplates the progressively greater five-part Sāman in the vital faculties, life becomes progressively greater, and he wins progressively greater worlds. This concludes the account of the five-part Sāman.
व्याख्या
प्रथम फलवाक्य में जिस वस्तु की वृद्धि है वह स्पष्ट संज्ञा से नहीं कही गई; अनुवाद में जीवन व्याख्यात्मक पूर्ति है। अन्तिम वाक्य संरचनात्मक समापन है।
Explanation
The first benefit clause leaves the thing that grows greater unstated; “life” is an explanatory completion. The final phrase marks a structural conclusion.
