तस्मिन्नेतस्मिन्नग्नौ देवाः सोमँ राजानं जुह्वति तस्या आहुतेर्वर्षँ सम्भवति ॥ २ ॥

तस्मिन् एतस्मिन् अग्नौ देवाः सोमम् राजानम् जुह्वति । तस्याः आहुतेः वर्षम् सम्भवति ।

इसी अग्नि में देवता सोम राजा की आहुति देते हैं। उस आहुति से वर्षा होती है।
English meaning
Into this very fire the gods offer King Soma. From that offering arises rain.
व्याख्या
सोम राजा से वर्षा तक का रूपान्तरण पञ्चाग्नि-शिक्षा की क्रमिक कड़ी है। देवता यज्ञकर्ता हैं; बाहरी अनुष्ठान के शब्द विश्व और जीवन के सम्बन्ध समझाने के लिए प्रयुक्त हैं।
