नियतस्य तु संन्यासः कर्मणो नोपपद्यते । मोहात्तस्य परित्यागस्तामसः परिकीर्तितः ॥१८-७॥

अन्वय
नियतस्य कर्मणः संन्यासः तु न उपपद्यते । मोहात् तस्य परित्यागः तामसः परिकीर्तितः [अस्ति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
नियत कर्म का संन्यास उचित नहीं है। मोह के कारण उसे पूरी तरह छोड़ देना तामस त्याग कहा जाता है।
English meaning
It is not fitting to renounce one's required action. Abandoning it out of delusion is described as tamasic relinquishment.

अब त्याग के तीन भेदों में मोह से कर्तव्य छोड़ने का भेद आता है।
