कामात्मानः स्वर्गपरा जन्मकर्मफलप्रदाम् । क्रियाविशेषबहुलां भोगैश्वर्यगतिं प्रति ॥२-४३॥

कामात्मानः स्वर्गपराः [ते] भोगैश्वर्यगतिम् प्रति जन्मकर्मफलप्रदाम् क्रियाविशेषबहुलाम् [वाचम् प्रवदन्ति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
उनकी चाहतें भोगों में लगी हैं और स्वर्ग ही उनका लक्ष्य है। उनकी वाणी ऐसे कर्मफलों की बात करती है जो फिर जन्म देते हैं; वह भोग और ऐश्वर्य पाने के लिए अनेक विशेष क्रियाएँ बताती है।
English meaning
Filled with desires and intent on heaven, they speak of rewards of action that lead to further birth, prescribing elaborate rites to attain enjoyment and power.
