न त्वेवाहं जातु नासं न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः । न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयमतः परम् ॥२-१२॥

अन्वय
न तु एव अहम् जातु न आसम्; न त्वम् [न आसीः]; न इमे जनाधिपाः [न आसन्] । न च एव अतः परम् सर्वे वयम् न भविष्यामः ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
ऐसा कभी नहीं था कि मैं नहीं था, तुम नहीं थे, या ये राजा नहीं थे। और आगे भी ऐसा नहीं होगा कि हम सब न रहें।
English meaning
There was never a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor these rulers; nor will there be a time hereafter when all of us cease to be.
