य एनं वेत्ति हन्तारं यश्चैनं मन्यते हतम् । उभौ तौ न विजानीतो नायं हन्ति न हन्यते ॥२-१९॥

यः एनम् हन्तारम् वेत्ति, यः च एनम् हतम् मन्यते, तौ उभौ न विजानीतः । अयम् न हन्ति, न हन्यते ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
जो इसे मारने वाला मानता है और जो इसे मारा गया समझता है, दोनों ही सही नहीं जानते। यह न मारता है और न मारा जाता है।
English meaning
One who regards this self as the killer, and one who thinks it killed, both fail to understand: it neither kills nor is killed.
