जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च । तस्मादपरिहार्येऽर्थे न त्वं शोचितुमर्हसि ॥२-२७॥

अन्वय
जातस्य हि मृत्युः ध्रुवः [अस्ति], मृतस्य च जन्म ध्रुवम् [अस्ति] । तस्मात् अपरिहार्ये अर्थे त्वम् शोचितुम् न अर्हसि ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
जन्मे हुए की मृत्यु निश्चित है और मरे हुए का जन्म निश्चित है। इसलिए जिस बात को टाला नहीं जा सकता, उस पर तुम्हें शोक नहीं करना चाहिए।
English meaning
For one who is born, death is certain; for one who has died, birth is certain. Therefore you should not grieve over what cannot be avoided.
