English meaning
For a woman whom he wishes not to conceive, the ancient text gives the sequence of inserting the penis, joining mouth to mouth, breathing out and then drawing breath in, with the words: “By my vigor and semen I take away your seed.” The text claims that she thereby becomes without generative seed. This is not a verified method of contraception.
Explanation
Abhipranya and apanyat are interpreted as outward and inward breathing. The efficacy claim belongs to the historical text, not contemporary medical advice or a guarantee against pregnancy.
Context
This is the first breathing formula, directed in the text against conception. The next passage reverses the sequence.
