English meaning
This heart is Prajapati; it is Brahman; it is everything. The name hrdayam has three syllables. Hr is one syllable: for one who knows in this way, both their own people and others bring offerings. Da is one syllable: to one who knows in this way, both their own people and others give. Yam is one syllable: one who knows in this way goes to the heavenly world.
व्याख्या
हृ, द और यम् को क्रमशः लाने, देने और जाने की क्रियाओं से जोड़ा गया है। यह ध्वनि-आधारित उपासना है, आधुनिक भाषावैज्ञानिक व्युत्पत्ति नहीं। वस्तुओं की प्राप्ति और स्वर्ग का फल पाठ की ऐतिहासिक धार्मिक मान्यताओं के रूप में समझना चाहिए।
Explanation
Hr, da and yam are associated respectively with bringing, giving and going. This is a sound-based contemplation, not a modern linguistic derivation. Receiving gifts and reaching heaven are the religious benefits asserted within the historical text.
संदर्भ
तीन “द” की कथा के बाद यह छोटा ब्राह्मण हृदय शब्द के तीन अक्षरों पर ध्यान केन्द्रित करता है।
Context
After the story of the three da teachings, this short brahmana turns to contemplation of the three syllables in the word for heart.
