अथ श्रोत्रमत्यवहत् । तद्यदा मृत्युमत्यमुच्यत ता दिशोऽभवन् । ता इमा दिशः परेण मृत्युमतिक्रान्ताः ॥ १५ ॥

हिन्दी अर्थ
फिर उसने श्रोत्र को पार पहुँचाया। जब श्रोत्र मृत्यु से मुक्त हुआ, वह दिशाएँ हुआ। ये दिशाएँ मृत्यु के पार पहुँची हुई हैं।
English meaning
Next it carried hearing across. When hearing was released from death, it became the directions. These directions have passed beyond death.

यहाँ श्रोत्र का विश्वरूप एक वस्तु नहीं बल्कि चारों ओर फैली दिशाएँ हैं। एकवचन श्रोत्र से बहुवचन दिशाओं की ओर परिवर्तन को अनुवाद में रखा गया है।
Explanation
The cosmic counterpart of hearing is not a single object but the directions extending around it. The translation retains the movement from singular hearing to plural directions.
