तदेते श्लोका भवन्ति अणुः पन्था विततः पुराणो मां स्पृष्टोऽनुवित्तो मयैव । तेन धीरा अपियन्ति ब्रह्मविदः स्वर्गं लोकमित ऊर्ध्वं विमुक्ताः ॥ ८ ॥

इस विषय में ये श्लोक हैं: सूक्ष्म, दूर तक फैला, प्राचीन मार्ग मुझे छूता हुआ मेरे द्वारा ही पाया गया है। उस मार्ग से धीर ब्रह्मज्ञानी, यहाँ से मुक्त होकर ऊपर स्वर्गलोक को जाते हैं।
English meaning
These verses follow: the subtle, extended, ancient path has touched me and has been discovered by me. Along it the steadfast knowers of brahman, freed from here, pass upward to the heavenly world.
व्याख्या
मां स्पृष्टः का शाब्दिक सम्बन्ध कठिन है, इसलिए प्रथम पुरुष का अनुभव सुरक्षित रखा गया है। स्वर्गलोक को यहाँ पहले के देव-लोकक्रम से अनिवार्यतः एक ही न मानें; मुक्ति के प्रसंग में उसका अर्थ व्याख्या का विषय है।
Explanation
The syntax of “touched me” is difficult, so its first-person experiential form is retained. Heavenly world need not automatically mean the same rung as in the earlier hierarchy; its force here requires interpretation in the liberation context.
