एते एव पिता माता प्रजा [सन्ति] । मनः एव पिता [अस्ति]; वाक् माता [अस्ति]; प्राणः प्रजा [अस्ति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
पिता, माता और सन्तान भी ये ही हैं: मन पिता, वाणी माता और प्राण सन्तान है।
English meaning
These are also father, mother and offspring: mind is father, speech mother, and breath offspring.
व्याख्या
यह भूमिका-आधारित रूपक मन और वाणी के सम्बन्ध से प्राण की उत्पत्ति को आगे समझाएगा। इसे पुरुषों और स्त्रियों के मनोवैज्ञानिक गुणों का सार्वभौम वर्गीकरण न बनाया जाए।
Explanation
The relational image prepares the later account of breath arising from mind and speech. It should not be turned into a universal psychological classification of men and women.
