संकरः कुलघ्नानाम् कुलस्य च नरकाय एव [भवति]; एषाम् पितरः हि लुप्तपिण्डोदकक्रियाः पतन्ति ।

अर्जुन के अनुसार ऐसा मिश्रण कुल का नाश करने वालों और कुल, दोनों को नरक की ओर ले जाता है; पिण्ड और जल देने की क्रियाएँ लुप्त होने से उनके पितर भी गिर जाते हैं।
English meaning
In Arjuna’s account, such mixing brings ruin in hell to both the destroyers of a family and the family itself; their ancestors fall too when the offerings of food and water cease.
