यावदेतान्निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान् । कैर्मया सह योद्धव्यमस्मिन् रणसमुद्यमे ॥१-२२॥

अन्वय
अहम् अवस्थितान् योद्धुकामान् एतान् यावत् निरीक्षे, [तावत् रथम् स्थापय] । अस्मिन् रणसमुद्यमे मया कैः सह योद्धव्यम् [इति निरीक्षे] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
मैं उन योद्धाओं को देख लूँ जो यहाँ लड़ने के लिए खड़े हैं, और जान लूँ कि इस युद्ध में मुझे किनके साथ लड़ना होगा।
English meaning
Let me look at those who stand here wishing to fight, and see whom I must face in this undertaking of war.
