Passage 19.21
English meaning
The one who stands in the skin, who is within the skin, whom the skin does not know, whose body is constituted by the skin, and who rules the skin from within: that is your Self, the immortal inner ruler.
Explanation
The immediacy of touch does not make the ruler a tangible object. The skin represents an especially intimate boundary of bodily experience.
Context
The inner-ruler sequence now concerns the skin.
