अविद्या क्षेत्रं उत्तरेषां प्रसुप्ततनुविच्छिन्नोदाराणां ।। २.४ ।।

अविद्या अन्य क्लेशों का क्षेत्र है, चाहे वे सोए हुए, क्षीण, बीच-बीच में उठने वाले या पूरी तरह सक्रिय हों।
English meaning
Ignorance is the ground of the other afflictions, whether dormant, weakened, interrupted or fully active.
