अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहा यमाः ।। २.३० ।।

अन्वय
अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहाः यमाः [सन्ति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
अहिंसा, सत्य, अस्तेय, ब्रह्मचर्य और अपरिग्रह यम हैं।
English meaning
The yamas are non-harming, truthfulness, non-stealing, brahmacharya and non-grasping.
प्रसंग
आठ अंगों में पहले यम का विवेचन पाँच संयमों से शुरू होता है।
