द्रष्टृदृश्ययोः संयोगो हेयहेतुः ।। २.१७ ।।

अन्वय
द्रष्टृदृश्ययोः संयोगः हेयहेतुः [अस्ति] ।

द्रष्टा और दृश्य का संयोग उस हेय दुःख का कारण है।
English meaning
The conjunction of seer and seen is the cause of the suffering that is to be removed.

जिस दुःख को हेय कहा गया, अब उसका कारण द्रष्टा-दृश्य के संयोग में रखा जाता है।
