English meaning
One who knows firm support stands securely on level ground and stands securely in difficult terrain. The eye is that support, for through the eye one finds firm footing both on level ground and in difficult terrain. One who knows this stands securely on level ground and in difficult terrain.
व्याख्या
प्रतिष्ठा और प्रतितिष्ठति की पुनरावृत्ति आधार और स्थिर रहने को जोड़ती है। सम और दुर्ग का विरोध सरल तथा कठिन परिस्थिति का संकेत भी दे सकता है, पर अनुवाद में स्थानगत बिम्ब रखा गया है।
Explanation
The repeated noun and verb connect support with standing securely. The contrast of level and difficult ground can also suggest easy and adverse circumstances; the translation retains the spatial image.
संदर्भ
दृष्टि को शरीर की राह पहचानने वाली शक्ति के रूप में वाणी के बाद रखा गया है।
Context
Vision follows speech as the faculty that enables the body to find its way.
