सहयज्ञाः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा पुरोवाच प्रजापतिः । अनेन प्रसविष्यध्वमेष वोऽस्त्विष्टकामधुक् ॥३-१०॥

अन्वय
प्रजापतिः सहयज्ञाः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा पुरा उवाच—अनेन [यज्ञेन] प्रसविष्यध्वम्; एषः वः इष्टकामधुक् अस्तु ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
आरम्भ में प्रजापति ने यज्ञ के साथ प्रजाओं की सृष्टि करके कहा: इसके द्वारा बढ़ो और फलो; यह तुम्हारी उचित कामनाओं को पूरा करने वाली कामधेनु हो।
English meaning
In the beginning, Prajapati created beings together with sacrifice and said: Through this, grow and flourish; let it be for you a cow yielding the fulfilment of your desired aims.
