English meaning
Those who partake of the nectar remaining from sacrifice reach the eternal Brahman. One who offers nothing has no share even in this world, best of the Kurus; how then in another?
Context
Krishna describes varied disciplines through the language of sacrifice, including offering, restraint, study and yoga.
Simple explanation
The image of what remains after sacrifice points to participation in offering; it does not assign a medical property to a food.
