अथैनमुद्यच्छत्यामंस्यामं हि ते महि । स हि राजेशानोऽधिपतिः । स मां राजेशानोऽधिपतिं करोत्विति ॥ ५ ॥

तब वह मन्थ ऊपर उठाकर कहता है: “तुम समग्र जानने वाले हो; हम तुम्हारी महिमा जानते हैं [आमंस्यामं हि ते महि का यहाँ लिया गया अनिश्चित पारम्परिक आशय]। वह राजा, ईशान और अधिपति है। वह मुझे राजा, ईशान और अधिपति बनाए।”
English meaning
Then the officiant raises the mash and says: “You are a comprehensive knower; we recognize your greatness [a provisional traditional sense of the difficult wording amamsy amam hi te mahi]. He is king, ruler and overlord. May he make me king, ruler and overlord.”

आरम्भिक सूत्र का व्याकरण निश्चित नहीं है; उसे छान्दोग्य के समानान्तर पाठ से बदलना अनुचित होगा। यहाँ उसका परम्परागत आशय स्पष्ट चेतावनी के साथ दिया गया है, जबकि राजा-ईशान-अधिपति का त्रिक दोनों बार सुरक्षित है।
Explanation
The opening formula is grammatically uncertain and must not be silently replaced by its Chandogya parallel. A traditional interpretive gist is explicitly qualified, while the king/ruler/overlord triad is preserved twice.
