न मे विदुः सुरगणाः प्रभवं न महर्षयः । अहमादिर्हि देवानां महर्षीणां च सर्वशः ॥१०-२॥

अन्वय
सुरगणाः मे प्रभवम् न विदुः; महर्षयः न [विदुः] । हि अहम् सर्वशः देवानाम् महर्षीणाम् च आदिः [अस्मि] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
देवताओं के समुदाय और महर्षि मेरी उत्पत्ति नहीं जानते, क्योंकि मैं ही हर प्रकार से देवताओं और महर्षियों का आदि हूँ।
English meaning
Neither the hosts of gods nor the great sages know my origin, for I am the beginning of the gods and of the great sages in every respect.

दिव्य विभूतियों से पहले कृष्ण के मूल का प्रश्न आता है।

देव और ऋषि भी उनसे उत्पन्न कहे गए हैं; इसलिए उन्हें उनका स्वतंत्र मूलज्ञाता नहीं बनाया गया।

Before the divine manifestations, Krishna's own origin is considered.

Gods and sages are themselves traced to him, so they are not presented as independent knowers of his origin.
