उदासीनवदासीनो गुणैर्यो न विचाल्यते । गुणा वर्तन्त इत्येव योऽवतिष्ठति नेङ्गते ॥१४-२३॥

अन्वय
यः उदासीनवत् आसीनः गुणैः न विचाल्यते, यः गुणाः वर्तन्ते इति एव अवतिष्ठति, न इङ्गते, [सः गुणातीतः उच्यते] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
वह उदासीन साक्षी की तरह स्थित रहता है और गुणों से विचलित नहीं होता। ‘गुण ही अपना कार्य कर रहे हैं’—यह जानकर स्थिर रहता है, डगमगाता नहीं।
English meaning
Remaining like an impartial witness, that person is not shaken by the qualities. Knowing that the qualities are simply at work, one stands firm and does not waver.
प्रसंग
गुणों को न चाहने और न उनसे द्वेष करने के उत्तर को अब साक्षीभाव से समझाया जाता है।
