सत्त्वात्संजायते ज्ञानं रजसो लोभ एव च । प्रमादमोहौ तमसो भवतोऽज्ञानमेव च ॥१४-१७॥

अन्वय
सत्त्वात् ज्ञानम् संजायते; रजसः लोभः एव च [संजायते] । तमसः प्रमादमोहौ भवतः; अज्ञानम् एव च [संजायते] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
सत्त्व से ज्ञान पैदा होता है और रज से लोभ। तम से असावधानी, मोह और अज्ञान उत्पन्न होते हैं।
English meaning
Knowledge arises from sattva, and greed from rajas. From tamas come heedlessness, delusion and ignorance.
