Sutra 4.27
तच्छिद्रेषु प्रत्ययान्तराणि संस्कारेभ्यः ।। ४.२७ ।।

अन्वय
तत्-छिद्रेषु संस्कारेभ्यः प्रत्ययान्तराणि [भवन्ति] ।

उस विवेक के अंतरालों में संस्कारों से दूसरे प्रत्यय उठते हैं।
English meaning
In the gaps of that discernment, other cognitions arise from impressions.
प्रसंग
विवेक की ओर प्रवाहित चित्त में भी पुराने संस्कारों की भूमिका बताई जाती है। अगले सूत्र में इन अन्य प्रत्ययों के हटने का विषय है।
सरल व्याख्या
दिशा बदलना और पुराने संस्कारों का पूरा क्षय एक ही क्षण मानकर नहीं चले हैं। अंतराल में उठने वाले प्रत्यय शेष संस्कारों से जुड़े हैं।
Context
Even as mind inclines toward discernment, the role of earlier impressions is acknowledged. The following sutra concerns the removal of these other cognitions.
Simple explanation
A changed orientation is not equated with the immediate exhaustion of every earlier impression. Cognitions arising in the intervals are related to what remains of those impressions.
