English meaning
Then the mind inclines toward discernment and flows in the direction of kaivalya.
Context
Following the preceding discriminating vision, the mind's orientation changes. Discernment and kaivalya describe its inclination and destination.
Simple explanation
Slope and inclination are images of a directed flow. Discernment here concerns distinguishing purusha and nature, not cleverness alone.
