विशेषदर्शिन आत्मभावभावनाविनिवृत्तिः ।। ४.२५ ।।

अन्वय
विशेषदर्शिनः आत्मभावभावनाविनिवृत्तिः [भवति] ।
हिन्दी अर्थ
इस भेद को देखने वाले में चित्त को आत्मा मानने की भावना समाप्त हो जाती है।
English meaning
For one who sees this distinction, the tendency to regard the mind as the self comes to an end.
प्रसंग
पुरुष के लिए कार्य करते चित्त का भेद अब साधक की दृष्टि में आता है। आगे चित्त की दिशा विवेक और कैवल्य की ओर बताई जाएगी।
सरल व्याख्या
चित्त का आत्मा से भेद समझने पर उसके बदलते रूपों में अपनी अंतिम पहचान खोजना छूटता है। यह व्यक्ति के अस्तित्व को निरर्थक बताने का कथन नहीं है।
Context
The distinction of mind functioning for purusha now enters the practitioner's vision. The mind's orientation toward discernment and kaivalya follows.
Simple explanation
Distinguishing mind from the self releases the search for one's ultimate identity in its changing forms. It does not declare a person's existence meaningless.
